More Paid Parking May Be Coming To Reston: Report

Fairfax County is stuying parking management plans that could see new paid parking in Reston.

RESTON, VA -- It's been nearly two years since paid parking was introduced to Reston Town Center, and now more paid parking could be coming to the rest of the city.

WTOP repots that Fairfax County is studying parking management plans via a consultant, and paid street parking in Reston and Tysons Corner are among the options being considered.

An overhaul to parking in Reston could also involve other changes, such as time limits, rush hour restrictions, and no overnight parking.

And rather than using parking meters, you'd most likely be paying via a mobile app as is the case with ParkRTC, the report notes.
