Summer Game Fest Announcements: Elden Ring, Blood Hunt, Death Stranding

Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest Kickoff livestream is over, and it delivered some major news and announcements. In addition to an Elden Ring trailer and release date, we also got word on Death Stranding: Director's Cut (with a trailer seemingly designed to tease Metal Gear fans), a battle royale game called Vampire The Masquerade: Blood Hunt, a date of Call of Duty Season 4, and much more. Below, we've rounded up all of the news for you to catch up on everything that happened.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

Gearbox and 2K announced a new Borderlands series spin-off called Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. It'll be a more fantastical take on the series' looter shooter formula and a standalone adventure set apart from the larger Borderlands series.

Metal Slug Tactics

In a surprise announcement, developers Leikir Studio and Dotemu are collaborating with SNK to create a Metal Slug spin-off. Unlike mainline entries in the series, it'll be an XCOM-like turn-based tactics game.

Jurassic World: Evolution 2

A sequel to the theme-park management simulator Jurassic World: Evolution was announced. The teaser trailer showed off the pre-historic wildlife fans have come to expect alongside a confirmed launch window.

Death Stranding: Director's Cut

Hideo Kojima took to the stream to unveil Death Stranding: Director's Cut--a PS5 version of the 2019 open-world action game. No details were confirmed about its release date aside from the fact "it's coming soon."
