ATLANTA, GA — A dispute over a seat for a movie in Buckhead led to a shooting Monday night that left one man injured, police said.

Atlanta Police are looking for the gunman accused of escalating the disagreement to potentially lethal violence during a movie showing at the Phipps Plaza AMC 14 theaters.

Officers were called around 10:45 p.m. to the theater at 3500 Peachtree Road NE, where they found one man with gunshot wounds. Police say the victim and another person were arguing over seat assignments when the suspect opened fire and then fled the movie theater.

The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition, authorities said.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
