CLEVELAND, Ohio -- According to Uber, a lot of Clevelanders have trouble getting back into their houses at the end of the night.
The ride sharing app released the top items left in their cars as part of Uber's Lost and Found Index 2018. For Cleveland, there was a tie for the top spot. Garage door openers and luggage are the two most common things left in Cleveland-area Ubers.
The top five items are:
- Luggage
- Garage door openers (tied for first)
- Wallet
- Wine
- Grocery store items
- Gold chain
Nationally, phones were most often left in Ubers, followed by wallets, keys and clothing.
Uber also releases some of the most ridiculous things left behind in Ubers. In Cleveland, this included:
- Gucci sandals
- $400
- Social security card
- Sparklers
That's nothing compared to some items that people left behind nationally. Uber drivers found a Star Wars encyclopedia, a letter from a boyfriend in jail, a bag with a Kevin Durant jersey and a Mario doll and French Bulldog statues.
Cleveland isn't among the most forgetful cities. DuBois, Pennsylvania took the top spot. Athens, Georgia and Stillwater, Oklahoma came second and third.
