GEORGIA β€” As 2020 comes to an end, we leave behind a year for the books. One part of 2020 that will not be overshadowed is the local heroes across the nation that have stepped up to help in any way they could.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Throughout the year, readers have submitted heroes from their towns that deserve recognition. When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
