Marlborough Man Killed By Drunk Driver In Boston: State Police

The driver, a Lynn man, hit the 22-year-old along Storrow Drive, according to state police.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A 22-year-old from Marlborough was hit and killed by an impaired driver early Saturday morning in Boston, according to state police.

Brandon Jennings was walking in the roadway along Storrow Drive near the Tobin Bridge off-ramp around 1 a.m. Saturday when the driver hit him. Jennings died at the scene, police said.

The driver left the scene, but a witness to the collision followed the driver back to a home along Centre Street in Lynn. State police later went to the home and arrested Miguel Rodriguez, 36, on charges of motor vehicle homicide while driving under the influence of liquor, driving under the influence of liquor, leaving the scene of a crash that resulted in injury or death, and failure to stop or yield. Rodriguez had a blood-alcohol level of .119 when he was arrested, police said.

Rodriguez was released on bail pending an arraignment on Monday. State police said they did not know why Jennings was walking in the roadway.
