A Sunday-night shooting in Tuscaloosa left one man injured and another behind bars.

The shooting happened about 11 p.m. in the 3200 block of Moody Street, said Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit commander Lt. Jack Kennedy. Responding officers found a 34-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center and is in stable condition.

Investigators identified the suspect as 21-year-old Chartavius Jamal Martin. Kennedy said the investigation shows that Martin and the victim were in an argument when Martin fired a handgun two to three times, striking the victim once.

Martin is charged with attempted murder. His bond is set at $60,000.
