Well, we have a new hero to admire: As The New York Post describes, “Emelia Holden was in the midst of taking an order at Vinnie Van Go-Go’s in Savannah, Georgia, when the creep in a red T-shirt walked past her and grabbed her butt with his left hand.” As seen on the (awesome) surveillance video, Holden immediately grabbed the guy by the back of his shirt, swirls him around and slams him into a chair, then berates him. A USA News Daily video reports that she yelled, “You don’t touch me, motherfucker!”
She told People, “His hand went further than it should have, so I was thinking, there’s no way a stranger just did that,” thinking it was one of her friends at first.
She told her co-workers to call the police, and they arrested the letch after reviewing the video. She said customers gave her high-fives. The incident happened on Saturday night, June 30, and the man was in jail until Monday, charged with sexual battery, and released on $2,500 bond. In Holden’s opinion, “he got what he deserved.”
Holden told People, “All that I want from my experiences is for women to know that it’s okay to stand up for yourself. You have every right to wear what you want and you most certainly have every right to defend yourself.” Hear, hear.
Continuing her streak of awesomeness, Holden is trying to use her 15 minutes of fame to raise funds for a local animal shelter on her Go Fund Me page.
