Good morning, New Jersey Patch readers! Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your travel on Thursday, June 16, 2022:
Traffic Updates
North Jersey
As of 7:07 a.m., there's a crash on the George Washington Bridge upper-level eastbound New Jersey side in Fort Lee. 1 center lane blocked.
As of 6:31 a.m., there's a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike inner roadway northbound north of Interchange 13A - Newark Liberty International Airport/US 1&9 in Elizabeth. 1 right lane blocked.
As of 6:14 a.m., there are delays at the Lincoln Tunnel south and center tunnels eastbound from New Jersey - Toll Plaza in Weehawken to New York. All lanes open. The estimated travel time is 15 minutes from NJ Turnpike Exit 16E to the New York side.
As of 6:12 a.m., there are delays on the George Washington Bridge lower and upper levels eastbound New Jersey side in Fort Lee. All lanes open. The travel time is 20 minutes on I-95 from I-80 to the Alexander Hamilton Bridge.
As of 6:12 a.m., there are delays on the New Jersey Turnpike/I-95 express and local lanes northbound from north of Exit 69 - I-80 in Teaneck to north of Exit 72A (SB) - NJ 4 in Fort Lee. All lanes open, 2-mile delay due to volume.
Central Jersey
As of 6:56 a.m., there's a crash on the Garden State Parkway northbound south of Exit 89C - Lakewood Airport Road in Lakewood. Left shoulder blocked.
As of 4:06 a.m., there's construction on I-295 in both directions between Delaware River/Scudder Falls Bridge in Ewing Township and Exit 73 - Scotch Road in Hopewell Township. Both shoulders closed and one lane may be closed until further notice.
As of 4:02 a.m., there’s construction on NJ 175 northbound from West Upper Ferry Road to NJ 29 in Ewing Township. All lanes closed and detoured until further notice.
South Jersey
As of 4:10 a.m., there's flooding on US 130 in both directions from NJ 47 to south of CR 551 in Brooklawn. All lanes closed.
As of 6:19 a.m., there are delays on NJ 55 northbound from Exit 58 - Deptford Center Road to south of NJ 42 in Deptford. All lanes open.
Transit Updates
All NJ Transit train lines are running on or close to schedule.
NJ Weather
Expect Showers and thunderstorms mainly before 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Otherwise, the day is slated to see mostly cloudy skies with a high near 79.
