The first teaser for Tom Hardy’s Venom, which may or may not have anything to do with the Spider-Man movies, refused to give any real indication that it was about the beloved Marvel villain/antihero until the title reveal, stopping just short of actually showing Venom’s face. Fans were so disappointed by the tease that Hardy had to step up and dismiss rumors that the movie itself would hold off on showing Venom, but now we can put those fears to rest because this full Venom trailer definitely shows what Venom looks like.
We’re not sure if it’s a good thing that Sony has given us such a clear look at Hardy in his full transformation, but this is at least what the Symbiote fans wanted to see. This should at least be better than the Topher Grace version of Venom, right?
Venom will be in theaters on October 5.
