Trump supporter busted for spraying bear repellent on protesters

A President Trump fan was arrested for spraying bear repellent on anti-Trump demonstrators during a rally at the Santa Monica pier, according to news reports.

MAGA-cap-wearing David Nicholas Dempsey, 32, showed up at the rally with a group of counter-protesters who were waving US flags and a pro-Trump banners, according to footage posted by the liberal YouTube channel Be Less Stupid.

The two sides exchange words before a shoving match breaks out, and that’s when Dempsey can be seen spraying the crowd, sending several people running and prompting others to hit the ground — including a handful of his pro-Trump pals.

Dempsey was arrested at the scene and charged with assault with a caustic chemical and suspicion of prohibited use of a tear gas weapon, KTLA-TV in Los Angeles reported.

Dempsey — who was previously convicted of burglary in 2006 and 2009, as well as larceny and conspiracy in 2012 — was also charged with violating parole.

He was ordered held without bail and is due back in court Tuesday.

Santa Monica police did not respond to a request for additional information.
