  • A western Sydney woman sent explicit messages to underage girls online
  • She texted a 39-year-old woman to arrange sex with her nine-year-old daughter
  • They were in fact identities used by undercover police who arrested her in 2021

A woman who sent sick messages to someone she assumed was an underage girl but who was actually an undercover police officer has been jailed for more than five years.

Tiane Miller, 49, of Greystanes in western Sydney was arrested after sending a series of explicit messages to child exploitation unit detectives in 2020 and 2021, who were posing as the girl using an online identity known internally to police as '41'.

Her house was raided and digital devices seized on August 14, 2021 and but she was released on bail.

The following month, Miller messaged a 39-year-old woman - who was again an undercover police officer - to arrange to have sex with her nine-year-old daughter.

Sydney's Downing Centre District Court heard on Thursday Miller told the first underage girl she had 'boobs and a c**k' and sent a picture of her chest and penis.

She offered to pick the girl up from a train station over text and told her: 'We could do plenty of fun things naked and you could still be a virgin... you could try sucking it,' The Daily Telegraph reported.

When '41' asked what they could do, Miller texted 'kiss and touch you down there, make you horny and wet and touch your nipples' and told her that she needed to keep it a secret.

The messages continued for 20 days with Miller asking the underage girl to skip school so they could meet up.

After her initial arrest and release on bail, she then texted the 39-year-old woman over app Chatiw saying she was 'bored and horny' and invited her to her house.

She was aware the covert identity used by police had a daughter and suggested the three of them could have sex.

'Maybe you and I get naughty in front of her (the child) and then head to the bedroom... Tell her if she wants to be in the room to get naked too,' the court heard.

Police arrested her when she went to meet the woman at Liverpool train station and found her carrying lingerie that would fit the child.

The court heard she messaged yet another identity of an underage girl used by police and asked if she could visit her house while her mother was at work.

Miller has been in custody since her October 2021 arrest at Liverpool train station.

She pleaded guilty to use carriage service procure person less than 16 years for sexual activity, use carriage service to send indecent material to person less than 16, use carriage service to groom person less than 16.

The court heard she was on methamphetamine when the offending occurred and had been on a mental health disability pension since 2001.

She told the court she was remorseful, wanted to be a productive member of society and had been over-exposed to taboo themes online.

Judge Mark Marian said the offending had 'depraved' intent and expressed doubt at her remorse considering she continued while on bail.

Miller was jailed for five years and six months and will be eligible for parole on July 16, 2024.
