Margaery Tyrell may have met a (literally) explosive end in the Sept of Baelor, but that doesn't mean actress Natalie Dormer has stopped keeping up on Game of Thrones.

The cast of the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated series are wrapping up work on the eighth and final season this summer, with Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington very publicly marking the end of filming.

The cast and crew must not be keeping too tight-lipped about where the story ends up because their former co-star Natalie Dormer has revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that she knows where the series finishes.

'I'm excited to see the next season. I'm on the edge of my seat like everybody else,' she admitted.

The actress then teased: 'I know A to B. I know what B is, but I don't know how they get B. But I do know B.'

Dormer refused to be drawn any further on what she knows about the ending of Game of Thrones, but did recently offer praise to the show's writing staff for its depiction of morally-complex characters.

'Cersei has had all her children murdered and taken away from her – and I'm not condoning her behaviour, but there is a fully fleshed-out human being in David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss]'s writing, and in Lena Headey's performance,' she explained.

'You see incrementally how she became the monster that she is. To me, that's good writing, it's not Marvel good and bad.'
