STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- The Bayonne Bridge is scheduled to be closed this weekend.
The Port Authority will close the bridge Friday at 9 p.m. It will open by Sunday at 3 p.m.
The closure is to accommodate ongoing construction work as part of the "Raise the Roadway" project.
All closures are weather-dependent and subject to change.
According to the Port Authority, additional overnight closings will be scheduled through the end of construction as needed.
