Scholarship Fund Named For Washington Crossing Business Owner

Ed McAllister passed away on June 7. The Upper Makefield Business Association has created a scholarship fund in his honor.

UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — The Upper Makefield Business Association has created a scholarship fund for a Bucks County business owner who passed away Monday.

Ed McAllister, president of McAllister Construction Company since 1979, passed away June 7, according to family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking people to donate to the Ed McAllister Scholarship Fund.

The scholarship is designed to help with the cost of books and tuition for Bucks County students.

McAllister was a long-time active member of the UMBA, where he served on committees for the organization's scholarship committee, the Grange Fair and the Revolutionary Run.
