Authorities are currently investigating a Sunday double homicide in Macon County and are looking for a man considered armed and dangerous.
Aaron Flynn Gess, identified as a person of interest, is described as having a history of mental illness and “has made threats to resist any type of apprehension.” He is being sought in connection with a homicide investigation in Notasulga.
Macon County Coroner Hal Bentley said William Gess, Jr., 60, and Sharon Gess, 48, a brother and sister, were found dead in a home there. The two were discovered at approximately 1:40 p.m. There is no word yet on the cause of death.
Sharon was director of the Emergency Department and Emergency Medical Services - Ambulance Service - at East Alabama Medical Center, according to WRBL.
Authorities say Gess is believed to be in a grey 2019 Kia Optima with Alabama license plate 46AT885 and could be in the Atlanta, Ga. area.
