I would be lying if I said that looking at Ananya Panday’s washboard abs while scrolling through Instagram doesn’t make me want to leap out of bed, run all the way to the gym and do 500 squats—a huge feat for someone who prefers to her body to be horizontal at all times. So I was obviously shocked when she responded to the food quiz I’d put together with rather non-salad-based answers. Ahead, get to know more about the young actor’s choice of snack, ultimate imaginary meal and favourite food trend:

1. What’s your ideal breakfast?
Avocado on toast with cheese, coffee and some eggs.

2. What’s your go-to snack when you’re on the move?
KFC’s Chicken Popcorn is an amazing snack to have on the go.

3. If you could eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?
Probably butter chicken. I’ll quite literally eat it any day at any time.

4. Are there any meals you’ve seen in a tv show or a movie that you wish you could manifest in real life?
In SpongeBob SquarePants, there is a secret crabby patty recipe which is something I wish I could try.

5. What’s your ultimate cheat meal?
Chocolate chip pancakes, hot chocolate, cookies, butter chicken, cheese naan, pizzas and burgers.

6. How do you balance out a cheat meal the next day?
I get back to my set meal plan, but I’m also someone who will pester my trainer to help me balance it out with my workout.

7. One secret hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Mumbai that not enough people know about?
Subko Coffee Roasters is very popular but it’s in such an unlikely nook in Mumbai that it surprised me.

8. What kind of food do you like to cook?
The only thing I can make really well is Maggi.

9. Do you have a favourite Instagram food account?
I follow various pages, but Mumbai Foodie is one of my favourites.

10. One food trend that you like currently and one food trend which you think needs to go…
I am not very keen on trends but butter boards is one that I am not fully on board with. For a trend that works, I think bringing two iconic brands or flavours together is quite interesting. I’m so excited to see Maggi and KFC come together with the KFC Popcorn Bowl Made with Maggi. It just gives consumers the best of both worlds. I hope to see interesting pairings and fusion trends like these going forward as well.
