The AOC Tapes: Watch congresswoman rock out to Bon Jovi on road trip

What does Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rock out to in the car?

She gave the world a peek at her vocal and air-guitar and drumming skills during a road trip to the Standing Rock Indian Reservation in late 2016. In a series of Facebook live videos, the future congresswoman rocked out to some classics with pals Maria Swisher and Joshua Pereira.

In one moment, while the car is parked, Ocasio-Cortez and Pereira do a rendition of “Gasolina” by Daddy Yankee as Swisher swishes around in the snow outside.

At another time during the trip, the trio belt out Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer.” The song was selected by a person identified as “Andres” who made a donation to their trip’s GoFundMe that tipped them over their $1,000 goal.

AOC played a mean air guitar, air bass and even air drums during the jam.

As part of their carpool karaoke, the three friends also performed a stirring rendition of “No Scrubs” by TLC, though the video appears to have been plagued by some connectivity issues.
