And the Emmy for slowest walk across stage goes to… On Sunday night, Gwyneth Paltrow stepped out to present the Lead Actress in a Drama Series award, and it took her no less than 25 full seconds to reach the microphone. Gwyneth Paltrow’s Emmys 2019 moment quickly went viral (obviously), and many viewers roasted her decision to wear a skin-tight dress for the occasion. “How many jade eggs is Gwyneth Paltrow trying to hold in during her walk to the mic?” asked one twitter user.

Just when you thought the 2019 Emmys couldn’t get any more bizarre, Paltrow stepped up to the plate with her slow shuffle to the mic. At the end of the show, the actress was tasked with presenting the Lead Actress in a Drama award, and it. took. forever. Yes, Paltrow’s 1963 Valentino gown was gorgeous, but it wasn’t exactly the most efficient vehicles for promptly getting her across the stage.

Paltrow’s glacial pace gave viewers plenty of time to fire off tweets about the moment. “I want to be Gwyneth Paltrow trying to walk across the #Emmys stage for Halloween,” tweeted blogger Lainey Gossip. “There’s no amount of Goop that can get Gwyneth Paltrow to walk normally in that dress,” added another viewer. “The best performance of the night is Gwyneth Paltrow’s walk to the stage,” tweeted another.

But Twitter is full of equal-opportunity roasters. Just as they questioned Paltrow’s dress choice, viewers were quick to rip her sky-high Giuseppe Zanotti heels, which may or may not have been a size too small.

When Paltrow finally got to the mic, she had one more surprise in store: Killing Eve‘s Jodie Comer won the Lead Actress in a Drama award, over Viola Davis (How to Get Away with Murder), Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Robin Wright (House of Cards), Laura Linney (Ozark), and her own co-star Sandra Oh. It was a surprise win for the young star, but a more than deserved one.

If you (somehow) haven’t seen Gwyneth Paltrow’s Emmys walk, you can stream it in its beautiful, bizarre entirety on the Emmys website.
