WALLINGTON, NJ — A 78-year-old man was charged in connection with the theft of three quad recreational vehicles, valued at a combined $26,000, from an Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Wallington, Police Capt. Shawn Kudlacik said.

Peter Vanduffelen, of Pequannock, was arrested on the theft charge after police received a report Sunday from the rental agency of a stolen trailer that contained the three vehicles, Kudlacik said.

Officers gathered surveillance video that helped identify the suspect and remembered spotting his vehicle, a white GMC pickup truck, which was hauling the trailer, earlier in the day, police said.
