Bishop McDevitt football is in elite company according to a MaxPreps article released this week.
According to MaxPreps, just 98 high schools have had five or more players go in the NFL Draft across the past 20 years, and McDevitt is among the schools.
The Crusaders have had exactly five players go during that period.
The latest was cornerback Bryce Hall who was taken 158th overall by the New York Jets on Saturday.
Noah Spence (39th overall, 2016, Tampa Bay), Jaimie Thomas (236th overall, 2009, Indianapolis), LeSean McCoy (53rd overall, 2009, Philadelphia) and LeRon McCoy (225th overall, 2005, Arizona).
Only one other school in Pennsylvania — Woodland Hills — made the list. It had six players — Shawntae Spencer, Steve Breaston, Ryan Mundy, Quinton Jefferson, Ejuan Price and Mlles Sanders — go during that time frame.
Florida’s St. Thomas Aquinas topped the list with an amazing 23 drafted players during the period.
