Showers and thunderstorms possible on Monday: Cleveland, Akron weather forecast

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Showers and thunderstorms are possible throughout the region Monday as high temperatures take a drop back into the 70s on Monday.

Cleveland will see its best chances for showers later in the morning Monday, while there are good chances for showers and thunderstorms for most of the day in the Akron area. The clouds will break later in the afternoon, and look for highs around 74 in Cleveland and 76 in Akron. Overnight lows will be in the 50s.

Tuesday will bring mostly cloudy skies in Cleveland and a high of 73, while Akron also will be mostly sunny with a high of 74. Overnight lows again will retreat to the 50s.

Highs will bump up back to around 80 on Wednesday with mostly sunny skies in both Cleveland and Akron. There are chances of showers early Thursday before again becoming sunny with highs dropping back into the low to mid-70s.

If the forecast holds, the weekend will be mostly sunny and it will get much warmer, with highs back to the mid- to upper 80s in Akron and low to mid-80s in Cleveland.
