DANBURY, CT — It's the societal divide that nobody anticipated: essential workers, and non-essential workers. Social distancing has sidelined one group, and ramped up the workday hours on the other to a degree that would be comical, if so many of them weren't falling flat on their faces.

The non-essential workers all have nothing but thanks and praise for the essential workers, which is all very nice, but what the essential workers really need, is dessert.

The strong will always survive. But the strong need ice cream.
