DOUGLASVILLE, GA — The JC Penney at Arbor Place Mall may have reopened last Friday — but it won’t stay open for long.

“Liquidation sales will begin in the coming days,” JC Penny communications manager Kristen Bennett said via email Monday. “Once liquidation begins, the closing date will be in 10-16 weeks.”

Bennett gave no specific date for the store’s closing.
