Chanel’s dad sandals are the ultimate summer investment. In the warmer months, they’re a familiar sight in the Vogue office, worn by Sarah Harris, Vogue’s global network lead and European deputy editor, beauty and wellness editor Lauren Murdoch-Smith, and Vogue’s European beauty and wellness director, Jessica Diner. “Chunky but comfy, they bring a tough stompiness to the pretty floaty dresses that are my summer staple, with the small double C insignia immediately elevating proceedings,” says Jessica.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is also a major fan of the cult hiking shoe, but this summer, she’s bringing an alternative Chanel sandal to our attention. After years spent in Chanel’s comfy two-straps, the supermodel-businesswoman has invested in padded thong-toe sandals from the French maison. The dedicated minimalist opted for the flip-flops, which are stamped with the double C logo on the upper strap, in a neutral taupe and black colourway.

Rosie paired her fashion flip-flops with a floaty monogram kaftan from Totême – another brand taking up significant space in her wardrobe – sunglasses from her recent collaboration with Giaborghini, Jessica McCormack jewellery and Saint Laurent’s new jumbo Icare tote.
