David Foster jokes he’d ‘be in jail’ if daughter Erin went to college

David Foster is the latest celeb to weigh in on last week’s college admissions scandal, joking he too could have faced the same fate as Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman.

On Saturday, Erin Foster, 36, shared a text exchange with dad David, 69, on Instagram, with the Grammy winner expressing gratitude that college was never part of his daughter’s future plans.

“Thank god you didn’t want to go to college — I’d Be in jail right now!!” David texted.

Erin, who appeared on VH1’s “Barely Famous” and is currently the head of creative for the dating app Bumble, commented, “Thanks for the confidence, Dad.”

The post prompted reactions from several stars, including Selma Blair, who wrote, “Really is best post.”

“Hahaha! Good one dad,” replied Rebecca Gayheart.

Loughlin, 54, and Huffman, 56, were among dozens charged for allegedly paying bribes to get their children into the country’s top colleges.

The former “Fuller House” actress and husband Mossimo Giannulli face mail fraud charges as they are accused of paying $500,000 to ensure their daughters’ admission to the University of Southern California under the guise of crew athletes.

Huffman is accused of scheming with William “Rick “Singer to increase her daughter Sofia’s SAT score.

Loughlin has since been dropped by the Hallmark Channel and Netflix, while daughter Olivia Jade Giannulli‘s partnerships with Sephora and TRESemme have been terminated.
