A Grammy is the highest honor a musician can earn, but that doesn't mean the Grammy Awards make for somber evenings. There have been drunken shenanigans, outrageous outfits, super snubs, over-the-top performances, and many more shocking moments at the annual ceremonies. Here's a look at some of the zaniest things to happen around the show.
James Corden hands out consolation puppies
When James Corden presented Dave Chapelle with the award for Best Comedy Album in 2018, he had a consolation prize for all of the losers (Jerry Seinfeld, Sarah Silverman, and Jim Gaffigan), too. James gave them all adorable lil' puppies, and although he later received criticism for it, it was revealed that the puppies weren't actually hand outs, and safely went back home to the training agency they came from at the end of the night.
Taylor Swift throws shade at Kanye West
Taylor Swift never misses an opportunity to throw shade, so when she saw a chance to sub Kanye during her Album of the Year acceptance speech in 2016, she took it.
"There will be people along the way that will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame," Taylor said. Sounds like a pretty direct response to Kanye's "I made that bitch famous" lyrics, no?

Cee Lo Green shares the stage with... Gwyneth Paltrow?
Between her conscious uncoupling and vaginal healing egg drama, you probably forgot that Gwyneth Paltrow hopped up on the Grammys stage in 2011 to sing "Forget You" with Cee Lo Green and a bunch of muppets.
Twenty One Pilots accepts their award sans pants
At the 2017 Grammy awards, Twenty One Pilots made a show of removing their tuxedo pants before accepting their award. They referenced a story where they used to watch the Grammys in their underwear and said, "If we ever go to the Grammys, if we ever win a Grammy, we should receive it just like this."
Milli Vanilli wins an unearned Grammy that is later stripped
Milli Vanilli won Best New Artist in 1990, but there was one small problem — neither of them actually sang the song, "Girl You Know It's True." When it was revealed that the two lip-synced their performance, their award was rescinded.
