“Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary has hired prominent Canadian defense attorney Brian Greenspan, Page Six has exclusively learned, after his boat crashed into another vessel, killing two people.
O’Leary has turned to Greenspan for advice after questions were raised over statements he made about the collision last week on Lake Joseph in Ontario.
Greenspan has previously defended stars including Justin Bieber, who was accused in 2013 of punching a Toronto Uber driver in the head after a night out. The charges were later dropped. He has also repped Naomi Campbell and Catherine Smith, who returned to LA from her Toronto home in 1986 after she admitted injecting John Belushi with a fatal mixture of heroin and cocaine.
Meanwhile, O’Leary is facing questions after alleging that the other, larger boat involved in the crash had no lights on and fled the scene after the collision.
But police had a different account. “Both vessels had left the scene,” said Joe Scali, spokesman for the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police, according to Global News. Plus a source told TMZ that the larger boat did have its lights on at the time of the crash.
