Ex-porn star Zoe Parker dead at 24, months after leaving industry

Zoe Parker, an adult film actress who was nominated for Best Virtual Reality Sex Scene in 2017, has died.

“We are sad to report that Zoe Parker passed away in her sleep on September 12th at around 2 am,” according to a GoFundMe page set up to help cover funeral expenses. “She was only 24 years old.”

Parker “moved back home to Texas to be near her family to start a new life,” wrote campaign organizer Jay Campbell of Weatherford, Texas. “She had started doing great and recently announced her engagement and by all accounts seemed truly happy for the first time in her life.”

No cause of death has been revealed at this time. She had recently left the pornographic industry, the Daily Star reported.

Parker launched her adult entertainment career in 2014 with scenes for the production companies Bang Bros and Desperate Pleasures, and moved to Los Angeles in 2016 to pursue porn full-time, Adult Video News reported. She went on to rack up more than 100 credits for other studios including Evil Angel, Team Skeet, Zero Tolerance Entertainment, Adam & Eve Pictures, Girlfriends Films, Mofos and Filly Films.

She earned a 2017 AVN Awards nomination for Best Virtual Reality Sex Scene for “VR Bangers’ Valentine’s Day Surprise.”

Parker made a final post to her Twitter account — where she had more than 52,000 followers and increasingly explicit amateur content — on July 21. Shortly before that she had been promoting the recent launch of a subscription-based OnlyFans account but only amassed 26 fans on that streaming video platform before her death.

“Rest in peace, angel,” the single comment on her GoFundMe page read as of Monday morning.
