One of Alabama’s top players is considering leaving the program.

Kira Lewis, who averaged a team-best 13.5 points per game as a freshman for the Crimson Tide this season, entered the NCAA transfer portal Tuesday afternoon, according to a source.

Lewis leaving would be a significant blow for Alabama, but it is still possible the former Hazel Green High School star could choose to remain at Alabama. Entering the portal doesn’t mean that a player is definitely transferring. It just allows players to explore their options and have contact with coaches from other schools.

Lewis is the second Alabama player to enter the transfer portal this week. Veteran guard Dazon Ingram went into the portal on Tuesday.
