Medford Baseball To Honor Former Star Jimmy Martorana

Martorana, a Mustang Hall of Famer who led Bridgewater State to the College World Series, passed away in 2020 at the age of 48.

MEDFORD, MA — The Medford High School baseball team will remember former star player Jimmy Martorana Wednesday.

Martorana, a member of the Mustang Hall of Fame who led his Bridgewater State baseball team to the College World Series, passed away in 2020 following a long battle with cancer.

A ceremony dedicated to Martorana will take place Wednesday, June 9 at 3:30 p.m. at Monboquette Field, Playstead Park. Boston radio personality and former Mustang ballplayer Hank Morse will serve as emcee as the team welcomes Martorana's wife Suzanne and two sons, Braydon and Jayce, who will throw out the first pitch.
