A man entered a Lakeside/Lester Park neighborhood home uninvited on Thursday, and left with cash, prescription drugs and keys to the homeowner’s vehicle.
Duluth police said officers responded just before 10 p.m. to the 5200 block of Colorado Street after receiving a report about a woman in the street yelling for help.
Officers learned that a man had entered her home, prevented her from calling 911 and demanded money and drugs. After taking prescription drugs and a small amount of cash as well as keys to the vehicle, the man fled.
The vehicle later was found unattended in the 3800 block of Gladstone Street, where it had crashed into a tree.
The homeowner was not injured, police said.

The investigation is continuing, but it’s not believed to be a random incident, police said.
