Zack Snyder has shared a first look at the axed Green Lantern cameo that was due to happen in his version of Justice League.

Wayne T Carr was originally meant to pop up as the DC character at the end of the Synder Cut, though was eventually axed at the request of Warner Bros and replaced by Martian Manhunter.

The director has now revealed what Carr's Green Lantern would have looked like during a Q&A, sharing a shot on his phone of the star in his scrapped scene.

Artist Jojo Aguilar previously gave fans an idea of what the Green Lantern would have looked like in some concept art.

It comes after Carr recently opened up about being taken out of the movie, recalling: "[Snyder] said, 'We're going to shoot it, we'll see what the studio says'.

"This is kind of crazy because we shot it in what I'm going to call 'Driveway Studios'. He called me after he showed it to everyone, I think it was the second time because they had watched it in parts. He was like, 'They're not letting me do this thing'."

"When I saw the full vision, I went through the journey like everybody went through the journey," the actor continued. "Towards the end I realised, 'Ugh. I'm not a part of this. Darn'."

Speaking about the response from fans, he added: "The thing that kind of just warmed my heart was once all of the concept art and stuff started to drop, it's been nothing but love from the fans, man.

"Like, I wasn't even in the movie, and I'm just getting positive feedback from people and support. It's super crazy. It's absolutely crazy, but I love it."

Zack Snyder's Justice League is out now on HBO Max in the US and on Sky Cinema and NOW in the UK.
