RICE LAKE, Minn. -- Authorities say the 24-year-old Duluth woman who went missing following an early Friday, Oct. 20, incident in the city of Rice Lake has been found safe.

Neighbors on the 5100 block of Howard Gnesen Road reported a woman later known to be Chassie Lee in a blanket asking for help, said a St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office news release.

A vehicle belonging to Lee was found approximately a half-mile north of the original 911 call, and the vehicle had sustained major damage. Lee’s cell phone was left in the vehicle with multiple missed calls, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Multiple agencies assisted with attempting to locate her, including K-9, an aircraft and human trackers, said the Sheriff’s Office.

The St. Louis County Rescue Squad, Minnesota State Patrol, and the Hermantown and Duluth police departments assisted in the search. Rice Lake is just north of Duluth.
