"Randy" is the spokespizza for STEPS' "It's Not Cheesy" campaign.

That campaign operates under the premise that "It's not cheesy to talk to your kids," according to STEPS.

According to STEPS, good family communication is a critical component to keeping local youths on a straight path away from substance use and toward life success.

STEPS even has an online quiz it wants parents and/or adult mentors/guardians to take to learn about why talking things over with your children is important.

And, in return, they might be able to win a special "STEPS prize pack."

"Good communication is the first step in substance use prevention," wrote STEPS. "Take our quiz to learn three ways to open lines of communication with the young people in your life."
