Some of you might remember the groundbreaking He-Man and the Masters of the Universe animated series that debuted back in the '80s. Good news for those of you: that beloved animated series' new sequel, Masters of the Universe: Revelation, is coming to Netflix soon to take you down memory lane and build on to the drama of planet Eternia. And the action-packed trailer—teasing just enough to get you really excited—has just been released.

Rumor has it that the new series picks up exactly where the old one left off, continuing the story of what happens after the famous battle of He-Man and Skeletor where Eternia is fractured and the posse of Castle Grayskull’s protectors are scattered.

After nearly 40 years, Skeletor is back and on a mission to take control of Castle Grayskull to discover its hidden secrets—which made He-Man the most powerful man in the universe. It looks like it’s up to the Sorceress, Teela, to re-unite the band of heroes to fight against Skeletor and retrieve the missing Sword of Power to prevent the end of the universe.

Created by fan-favorite filmmaker Kevin Smith (Clerks, Chasing Amy), the series will feature voice actors Mark Hamill as Skeletor, Chris Wood as Prince Adam/He-Man, Lena Headey as Evil-Lyn, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Teela, and more. With 10 episodes total, the show will be split into two parts of five episodes each; the first part is set to release on Netflix on July 23.
