Britney Spears blasts conspiracy theorists in Instagram video

What Britney Spears posts on Instagram is her prerogative.

The “Toxic” singer said in a deleted and reposted video Tuesday, “For those of you who don’t think I post my own videos, I did this video yesterday, so you’re wrong, but hope you like it.”

In the slideshow, Spears, 37, shared a video of herself dancing and modeling different outfits, including a pink mini-dress, white dress with cap sleeves, and baby blue, flowing dress. Rihanna’s “Man Down” played over the clip.

The post appeared to be a response to fan speculation that the pop star was not in charge of her own social media content.

On May 16, followers claimed a video of her dancing to Michael Jackson was actually taken in March 2018, and was simply posted to make it seem as if Spears was doing well after her manager Larry Rudolph said she may never perform again.

In April, Spears checked herself into a mental health facility to cope with her father’s illness. Since then, fans launched the social media campaign #FreeBritney amid reports that the singer was told to seek treatment against her will.

Spears denied the allegations and has repeatedly asked for privacy to deal with her personal issues.
