‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ is getting a reboot

Andie Anderson and Benjamin Barry are getting a reboot.

Jeffrey Katzenberg’s short-form streaming service, Quibi, announced on Friday its plan to develop a modern take on the 2003 romantic comedy “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.”

Quibi’s synopsis said that the series “follows a glib young online columnist and an oversexed advertising executive who both need to prove, once and for all, they’re capable of being monogamous. They soon discover, however, keeping a relationship is harder than Andie Anderson made it look!”

The original film, which starred Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey, followed a dating columnist tasked with an assignment to date and drive away a man in 10 days, while her test subject is in a bet with colleagues that he can make any woman fall in love with him within the same time span.

The series will be written by Guy Branum, who previously worked on “The Mindy Project” and “Chelsea Lately.”
