Missing Calgary man Cody Presnell found dead: police

Calgary police say a body pulled from the Bow River earlier this month has been identified as that of Cody Presnell, who was reported missing on March 4.

The body was located in the river on Sunday, March 21.

On Monday, police said though Presnell’s death doesn’t appear suspicious, investigators are awaiting complete autopsy results and trying to “determine the circumstances” that led to his body being found in the river.

“We know many people were looking for Cody and this is not the news they were hoping for,” police said. “Our condolences go out to his family and friends.”

Presnell, 29, was last seen in person in the community of Livingston on Feb. 21.

Police are asking anyone with information about his disappearance or his movements any time after Feb. 21 to contact the non-emergency line at 403-266-1234 or to Crime Stoppers.
