ALEXANDRIA, VA — Once summer has come and gone and the weather gets cold, Alexandria will have a new attraction to look forward to. The new Ice & Lights: The Winter Village at Cameron Run is set to open on Nov. 15 at Cameron Run Regional Park, 4001 Eisenhower Avenue.

The Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority's summer waterpark destination will be transformed into a winter wonderland for this new attraction. Guests can rent skates and try out the ice rink, check out nightly snowfall, a 100-foot light tunnel, decorated trees and other winter displays. Warm up by the fire pits or in heated tents while the kids explore the Paradise Playground, or gather the whole family for picturesque photo opps and shopping at the Bling & Things Retail Shop. Pizza, s’mores, ice cream and more will be available for purchase.

The Winter Village will be open from Nov. 15 through Jan. 5, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. From Jan. 6 to Feb. 28, the ice rink only will remain open Fridays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and weekends from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
