Residents at a block of flats on Larges Lane in Bracknell have said they are "shocked" after a large police presence descended on the building in the early hours of the morning.

At around 3:30am on April 3, emergency services were called to Abercrombie Mews following reports of an incident on the first floor of the building.

A resident who wishes to remain anonymous said that they witnessed seven police cars, three unmarked police cars with armed officers, two ambulances and a forensics team arrive at the block of flats.

They said: “I just heard bangs and thuds, no shouting, no voices and then more banging and thuds like doors being bashed in. It then went deathly silent and then the police arrived.

“Police went around this morning knocking on doors to ask for statements and there is just one police officer and a police van at the site now.”

According to witnesses, one person was seen being transported to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

The resident added: “Police won’t tell us anything but we are just all in disbelief at how many emergency services there were.”

Thames Valley Police have declined to comment on the incident.
