Here’s a conversation we don’t want to miss: Black-ish actress and all-around brilliant bae Tracee Ellis Ross will interview our forever first lady, Michelle Obama, this Saturday, May 5, at the United State of Women Summit at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles—and we officially know how we’re spending this weekend.

Now in its third year, the two-day summit is an annual conference of female leaders across industries and disciplines gathering to discuss sociopolitical issues organized around eight intersectional topics: economic empowerment; women’s health and reproductive justice; support of survivors of gender-based violence; access to education; art and culture; civic engagement; human rights; and entrepreneurship and innovation.

And in case the meeting of these two incredible women isn’t enough, there will be no shortage of #BlackWomanMagic at this year’s event: Tarana Burke will be participating, as will Black Lives Matter co-founder and author of When They Call You a Terrorist Patrisse Khan-Cullors and actress and Time’s Up activist Jurnee Smollett-Bell. In addition, former Teen Vogue Editor-in-Chief Elaine Welteroth will moderate a conversation with actress Yara Shahidi, Campaign Zero co-founder Brittany Packnett and Sen. Kamala D. Harris (D-Calif.).

Jordan Brooks, managing director of the United State of Women, said in a statement: “Women know their power, and by coming together we are growing the movement for change. We are thrilled to bring together women from across the country who are ready to collaborate and get the skills they need to make their vision of the future a reality.”

The Glow Up tip: Can’t make it to L.A. this weekend? Excitingly, the United State of Women will also be accessible via livestream on its Facebook page and website.
