Nation's No 1 prospect reportedly taking official visit to Alabama

Five-star quarterback Justin Fields is taking an official visit to Alabama this weekend, according to SEC Country.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Fields is the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback and No. 1 overall prospect in next year's recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

This will be the second of five official visits for Fields after he officially visited LSU earlier this month.

The Georgia product visited Alabama unofficially during the summer.

"I just love the way Coach Daboll coaches," Fields said this summer. "They're going to contend for a national championship every year and they have most of the best players in college football on their team. Just getting to practice with those guys every day is going to get you better."

Fields decommitted from Penn State in June.
