TRUSSVILLE, AL — Paighton Houston, the Trussville woman who had been missing since Dec. 20, was found dead in Hueytown Friday, and although the Jefferson County Coroner has completed the autopsy, Houston's cause of death is still unknown.

A memorial service for Houston has been set for 5 p.m. Jan. 9 at Clearbranch United Methodist Church in Trussville. As well, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help Houston's family with arrangements.

"It is my hope that through this go fund me, we can alleviate some of the stress off of her distraught parents," said Melissa Houston, who started the campaign. "These proceeds will go to service fees, any legal fees, etc that the family needs during this time as they prepare to lay her to rest and fight for her justice."

Houston was reported missing Dec. 20 after she was reportedly seen leaving the Tin Roof, a bar in Birmingham's Lakeview district, with two unidentified men. Houston also is said to have texted a co-worker saying she was in trouble that night.

Houston's bank account has not been used since her disappearance and police have not been able to determine when she left the bar and with whom she left that night.
