Julian Edelman says farewell to Danny Amendola

Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman’s bromance is about to become long-distance.

Edelman shared a farewell Instagram post in honor of his good friend and teammate after reports about Amendola’s two-year, $12 million contract with the Miami Dolphins broke Tuesday afternoon.

“Hell of a ride these past few years Dolamite,” he wrote in the caption. “Save a seat for me down in South Beach.”

The two wide receivers, who are just a year apart in age, were very supportive of each other throughout their five seasons together in New England. Though he was sidelined with a knee injury for Super Bowl LII, Edelman was sure to get a “Let’s go Dola” chant started at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The pair was often spotted together during the offseason, too. From skateboarding around Boston to tasting crickets in Mexico City to mountain biking in Montana, their relationship appeared to have no bounds. Over the holidays, Amendola told Boston.com he was “grateful” to have a teammate like Edelman.

“We share a lot of the same interests,” the 32-year-old said. “Jules is a great friend.”
