Entrepreneur claims Kim Kardashian stole her idea for ‘Boob Tape’

The owner of a small family business tells Page Six that Kim Kardashian knocked off her $1 million idea — “Boob Tape.”

Carolyn Sitt — whose company offers a range of products promising to end the “female wardrobe malfunction” — says that she sent Khloé Kardashian a box of a different product back in January. The business, Silicone Valley, got a tidal wave of press when Khloe posted about its “camel toe concealer” on her social media.

So when she introduced a new product — adhesive strips that can be used in place of a bra — Sitt decided to send that to the reality star as well.

She says she sent a box of the “Boob Tape” — which clearly says “patent pending” on the side — to Khloé.

“This time it backfired because there was no shout out and no thank you,” Sitt told us, “Five months later Kim announced her ‘invention.’ How coincidental!”

Sitt was horrified when she saw Khloé’s sister Kim announce on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” on December 18 that she’d “invented” an adhesive strip that can be used instead of a bra.

“For a decade I’ve been taping up boobs with like duct tape,” Kim told DeGeneres, saying she first posted about the trick in 2009.

“For [her lingerie brand] SKIMS, I invented this really soft material … that was really easy to take off,” she said.

“Ellen asked her about her body tape and Kim started explaining this great revelation that she had, and how she invented this tape,” Sitt fumed, “She mentioned the words ‘I invented’ over and over. I found that quite brazen, hurtful and insulting.”

She said that it’s particularly galling because New York-based firm Silicone Valley is an all-female company that she runs with the help of her daughters, Sarah, Allison and Jennifer.

Sitt says that while there are now a number of similar items on the market, hers was the first of its kind. It is not clear when Kardashian developed her product or how it differs from Sitt’s product.

Kardashian’s rep did not respond to a request for comment.
