The estranged husband of missing Connecticut mom Jennifer Dulos wants their two oldest sons to have their own attorneys, according to a new report.
Fotis Dulos asked for legal representation to be appointed for his 13-year-old twin boys as the couple’s nasty custody battle continues to wind through court, the Stamford Advocate reported.
The request came in a motion filed late Wednesday by Fotis’ lawyer, Rich Rochlin, who said the boys need a “pure advocate at this age, someone who is decidedly not neutral.”
Fotis — who is charged in connection with his wife’s disappearance — has not seen the boys or his three other children since May 22.
Jennifer was last seen on the morning of May 24 dropping off her children at school.
Since then, the kids, who are between the ages of 8 and 13, have been in the care of Jennifer’s mom, Gloria Farber, who is fighting Fotis for sole custody.
Fotis has been prohibited from contacting his children as part of the conditions of his release.
He and his girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, have pleaded not guilty to charges of tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution. Both are free on $500,000 bail.
