The Winery at the Holy Cross Abbey hosted the Harvest Festival this weekend. The area was lined with vendor tents and guests spread out picnic blankets and chairs in the center of the courtyard. Food trucks and Colon Orchard’s chili roasting and farmers market stand were a welcomed aroma as patrons enjoyed walking around the grounds.
“It is great to see everyone out having a good time this weekend,” Winery owner Larry Oddo said. “This is our 19th year and our biggest crowds yet.”
Oddo mentioned that the Sunday crowd was as big as their usual Saturday crowd. Saturday brought double the amount of people it usually does. The increased number of people meant the need for more employees and volunteers.
“This event is always so fun, but it could not be done without the incredible people donating their time over the weekend, thank you all,” Oddo said.
Attendees were adorned with smiles and appeared to be having a great time enjoying the music, festivities and perfect weather for the last weekend in September.
