WOODSTOCK, GA — The Cherokee Friends of Recovery Foundation will host its annual Twilight Run F.O.R. Cherokee this weekend in the Towne Lake community.

The annual race, which begins and ends at the park, benefits the Cherokee Friends of Recovery Foundation, a nonprofit organization that raises money for the Cherokee County DUI/Drug Court. The DUI/Drug Court provides repeat offenders the opportunity to participate in intensive group and individual counseling in conjunction with judicial support through the use of sanctions and incentives. The program is open to repeat DUI offenders who have at least two convictions in the last five years and/or have three or more convictions over their lifetime.

Since 2011, Cherokee Friends of Recovery Foundation and its community partners have worked together to make the Twilight Run happen. The family-friendly fundraiser is designed to allow residents to have fun while helping raise awareness of the dangers of impaired driving while our keeping loved ones and friends safe on the road.
