The Sunday morning crash that had closed a portion of Interstate 81 in East Hanover Township has been cleared.
For several hours, southbound traffic had been detoured off of Exit 80 to Grantville.
State police say investigators were already at the scene of a crash around 9:30 a.m. when another vehicle hit the vehicles involve in the original crash. One person was struck and suffered a major injury, police say.
The Grantville Volunteer Fire Department reported that the injured person was found lying between vehicles, and they helped EMS crews pull that person out.
The crash is under investigation.
